BURST CYCLING-The system of burst cycle
dieting is the easiest and most healthy diet I have ever seen
for strength and size training or all around body shaping all
while lowering your fat percentage. I use this type of dieting
for many clients I train. The concept is simple. Your body is
the ultimate machine. You can feed it anything or nothing at
all and it will try to adjust (unless you completely starve
it). If you decide to feed your body 1000 calories per day,
which is complete insanity by the way, Your weight will come
down for a week to two weeks. After the second week, you will
notice your body leveling off and not losing weight anymore.
This is your system adjusting to the decreased caloric intake.
Your body has adjusted it's metabolic rate so that it can
function on 1000 calories as efficiently as possible and
reduce the possibility of death. It takes approximately
two weeks for this to happen. Burst cycling is simply
adjusting your caloric intake every week or two to a higher
level then lowering it back down two weeks later. your body
will never settle into any caloric range and your fat
percentage will continue to drop on the low calorie two week
period and rise only slightly on the higher calorie period. At
the end of each cycle, your body fat will be lower than the
end of the previous cycle. There is no magic in this. It is
pure science! This is just an overview of this diet. Food
items and calorie requirements are not guesswork. As they say
on TV, Don’t try this at home unless you are well aware of
what your metabolic rate and caloric requirements are. It is a
wonderful way to lose fat but the numbers are very important
here. I will add a basic diet for two weeks here as soon as I get it finished so you can see what a couple
of weeks is like on this diet.
